The original NEET UG 2026 exam (3 May 2026) was cancelled after a large-scale paper leak, and NTA conducted a re-exam on 21 June 2026 for over 22 lakh aspirants. With the answer-key challenge window now closed, the countdown to the final scorecard is underway.
Expected Result Date
NTA conducted the NEET UG 2026 re-exam on 21 June 2026 after the original 3 May exam was cancelled following a paper-leak scandal (see our full timeline). The provisional answer key was released shortly after, and the objection/challenge window closed on 28 June 2026 with roughly 10,000 objections under review. Based on this schedule, NTA is expected to publish the final result by 20 July 2026. This is a projection based on the standard post-challenge timeline, not an official date β always confirm on neet.nta.nic.in.
Because of the re-exam, MCC counselling β originally expected in July β is widely expected to slip by around two months to AugustβSeptember 2026. MCC has not yet published an official counselling calendar; check mcc.nic.in once the result is out.
How to Check Your NEET UG 2026 Scorecard
- Visit the Official Portal: neet.nta.nic.in
- Click on the Result Link: Look for "NEET UG 2026 Scorecard" on the homepage.
- Enter Credentials: Use your Application Number and Date of Birth.
- Download: Save your PDF scorecard for the counselling process, which is slated to begin in July 2026.
